Washington based singer/songwriter Briana Marela may not have released her debut album yet, but after working with Sigur Rós's producer Alex Somers she looks set to make waves in the industry and has already won praise from mainstream radio and media outlets including Vogue and DIY Magazine.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Björk and Laura Veirs, Marela shunned college and decided to tour the world with her music instead, saving up where she could with odd jobs (including serving wine at the Seattle Opera House), before eventually using crowd-funding platform Kickstarter to finance her trip to Iceland to work Somers. The 25 year old's forthcoming album All Around Us is now set for release in summer 2015 and she’s also been booked for several festivals across Europe including The Green Man Festival.
